Cubes 2048 takes the sumo principle — push everyone else off — and executes it with numbered cubes. It runs in the browser — no download, no account, no install.

Everyone in a round is a cube with a number on it, and running into a smaller number destroys it while running into a larger one destroys you. That single rule turns the arena into a moving hierarchy: early in a round the efficient play is to hunt anything smaller than you, and late in a round it is to avoid the two or three cubes that can now end you with a touch.

The platform is the second half of the game. It shrinks as the round goes on, so the space available contracts until somebody has to lose. That means a play style that is purely cautious eventually runs out of room, and players who spend the opening minutes growing are the ones with something to fall back on.

It is a fast multiplayer game with short rounds, playable with a keyboard on desktop or with on-screen controls on a phone.
