Geometry Dash Meltdown 3D is the rhythm platformer with a three-dimensional coat of paint and no change to the rules that matter. It runs in the browser — no download, no account, no install.
One button, one direction of travel, and a level that is really a song with hazards attached. You press to jump, you hold to keep jumping, and the obstacles are arranged so that the correct input is always the one the music is asking for. Learning a level means learning its pattern, and the first ten attempts are usually spent finding out what comes next.
The 3D rendering raises the stakes on readability. Jumps that were measured in a flat plane now have depth, so the visual gap you see is not always the gap the collision box agrees with, and there is an adjustment period before your eyes trust the geometry. After that the extra dimension mostly adds speed: the camera sits closer to the action, and the sense of being flung forward is stronger than in the original.
Failing ends the attempt instantly, and the restart is instant too. Mouse, keyboard or touch all work.
On cool games spot this page is the index entry: cover, description, and search terms. The game itself is loaded from a third-party web build in an iframe on Play, so nothing is bundled into the site. It is filed under action, so it appears alongside the rest of the rhythm platformers in the catalog.
Press Play and find out.
