Wacky Flip

Wacky Flip is a ragdoll physics game about doing tricks and, more often, failing to. It runs in the browser — no download, no account, no install.

The loop is a short one. You build up speed, hit a ramp or a ledge, and the character leaves the ground in a configuration that you only partly control. Rotation carries, the landing is a joint-by-joint negotiation with the floor, and the game scores you on how much of it looked intentional. A clean landing is worth far more than a spectacular crash, which is what turns it from a toy into something you practice.

Because the body is simulated rather than animated, the failures are the entertainment. The physics produces the sort of results you could not script: a flip that turns into a cartwheel, a landing on one leg that somehow holds, a launch that clears the gap and then goes headfirst into a wall. Each attempt is a few seconds long, so restarting is never a decision.

It plays with a mouse or a finger, and it is designed for a phone screen.
