Slope 2 is the sequel to one of the most recognisable browser games ever made, and the concept has not needed updating. It runs in the browser — no download, no account, no install.
The ball rolls downhill and accelerates, and you steer it left and right to stay on a course that is narrow, twisting, and full of things that end runs. There is no brake. Because the ball picks up speed on every descent and the course is built from a series of them, the game has a momentum problem by design: the longer you survive the harder it becomes, and the difficulty is a direct consequence of your own success.
The obstacles are simple and readable — gaps, blocks, moving barriers — and the challenge is that you see them a fraction of a second before you need to have already moved. Runs are short, restarts are instant, and the score is measured in distance, which makes it very easy to try once more.
It plays with the arrow keys on desktop and with a finger on a phone.
On cool games spot this page is the index entry: cover, description, and search terms. The game itself is loaded from a third-party web build in an iframe on Play, so nothing is bundled into the site. It is filed under adventure and tagged running, so it appears alongside the rest of the running games in the catalog.
Press Play and find out.
