Cat Disco is a short-session rhythm game, and the whole of it is timing. It runs in the browser — no download, no account, no install.
The format is the one piano-tile games made popular: notes fall or appear in sequence, and you hit them at the moment they reach the line. Miss and you break your streak; hit cleanly and the music keeps building. The cat at the centre of the screen reacts as you go, which is really the scoreboard — the better you play, the better it dances.
There is no story and no campaign to work through, and that is the point. A run lasts minutes, the song restarts instantly, and the only thing you carry between attempts is your own sense of the beat. Difficulty comes from the arrangement rather than from any added mechanic: faster passages, more notes in the same bar, less room between them.
It suits a phone, since the input is one finger and the timing window does not care about the size of the screen. It works with a mouse on desktop the same way.
On cool games spot this page is the index entry: cover, description, and search terms. The game itself is loaded from a third-party web build in an iframe on Play, so nothing is bundled into the site. It is filed under arcade, so it sits with the rest of the quick-session games in the catalog.
Press Play and find out.
